Our ethos.

Architecture North is a small creative studio based in my former garage. I have a wealth of knowledge, skills and experience, which I draw upon to ensure my clients projects are both unique whilst allinging within the linear RIBA Work Stages.

Me and my team will take our clients on this path to ensure they get the best level of service.

Our range of services include architecture, interior design, landscape, through to visualisation through vitural reality design, handmade models to 3D printed models .

This is a small scale award-winning studio, which places significant emphasis on our client’s engagement, delivering a professional quality design.

Start-up mentality.

Lewis established the business back in 2015, whilst he was doing freelance work on the side of his corporate job working in an award winning architectural practice.

Today, he is the driving-force, the creative director, the ethical and sustainable influencer behind the practice.

Where, during the Covid-19 Pandemic the business took a back step and reflected on it journey and implemented fundimental changing steps of how to run a successful architectural business.

In October 2020 the business became a fully NET Zero architectural practice, that runs fully carbon neutral.

Whilst it is all serious business, the business was registered as a limited business just a little over two years ago now, solely by himself. Which as a result we still are in the start-up mentality, as a small studio team, we offer a personal responsibility to our clients ensuring that we develop the clients brief, whilst bouncing ideas off each other, seeking guidance from the regulations, in the midst of enjoying the dynamics of an overall creative design studio.

Studio environment.

The studio itself is vibrant, collaborative and focused on innovation, making, constantly questioning the boundary of what is possible.

The studio is based in Lewis’ former garage space, where back in 2018, Lewis arranged a paint party and painted the walls, lined them with OS boarding, and sealed the concrete flooring.

In 2020 Lewis purchased the barn doors, and installed a second-hand patio door to seal the studio space up from the dreaded cold elements!

The studio space is where we work daily, and meet all of our clients, its not the biggest studio in the world, and whilst the WiFi may play up from time to time, for us, right now in our journey the sapce works perfectly fine!

For us the courtyard is the best place, its south facing, which allows the studio to break out of the four walls (well seven) and host our annual clients and employees events during the Summer / Autumn & Winter!
