The RIBA Work Stage 4: Technical Design Meeting to review and discuss the specific details and components of a project's design.

Your project architect will undertake your technical design meeting, where we will develop detailed design proposals, including technical specifications, materials, and construction methods, ensuring that the design is technically feasible, and meets all relevant regulations and standards.

Upon instructing Architecture North Ltd for this Work Stage you will have received your Technical Design Project Brief which includes the following information:

Meeting 01:

  1. Construction Type.

  2. External Facing Wall Materials.

  3. Proposed Roof Materials.

  4. Proposed Guttering Material, Type, Style, & Colour.

  5. External Windows Schedule of Works.

  6. External Doors Schedule of Works.

Meeting 02:

  1. Existing and Proposed Heating Types & Layout Plans.

  2. Existing and Proposed Plumbing Layouts.

  3. Existing and Proposed Lighting Layouts.

  4. Existing and Proposed Electrical Layouts.

  5. Proposed Plug & Light Fitting Schedule of Works.

Meeting 03:

  1. Staircase Design (If Applicable).

  2. Interior Doors Schedule of Works.

During the technical design meeting, the project team will review and discuss the finer details of the design, including specific materials, finishes, colours, and textures.

The meeting focuses on coordinating and integrating the input of different consultants and specialists involved in the project. This ensures that their expertise and recommendations are properly incorporated into the technical design, minimizing conflicts or issues during construction.
