Meeting 02 - Exterior Building Components & Roofing
Material Schedule Sheet
*
This is a document that lists all the materials used in an architectural project. This sheet provides a comprehensive record of the materials used and is used for reference during construction, maintenance, and renovation. The schedule sheet provides an organised list of all the materials used in the project. It helps to ensure that all materials are accounted for, and nothing is overlooked during construction. The schedule sheet allows for easy comparison of the existing materials with the proposed materials. This comparison helps to identify any discrepancies or changes that may be required to ensure that the project meets the design goals and requirements. The schedule sheet provides a clear and concise way to communicate the materials used in the project to all stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and clients. This communication helps to ensure that everyone is on the same page and has a shared understanding of the materials used. The schedule sheet can be used as a tool for managing the project's budget, timeline, and resources. It helps to ensure that materials are ordered and delivered on time, and that the project stays within budget. Overall, collating the existing and proposed materials onto a schedule sheet is an important step in the architectural project process. It ensures documentation, organisation, comparison, communication, and management of the project's materials.

Existing Front Elevation Guttering Styles & Profiles
*
Half Round: Half round guttering is a commonly used type of guttering that has a symmetrical U-shape with curled-top edges, resembling a cylinder sliced in half. It allows rainwater to flow freely down the centre of the gutter channels and is easy to maintain and remove debris from. Half round gutters have a universal design that makes it easy to replace sections and can suit both modern and traditional buildings.
Trough / Box / Square: Box guttering is also known as trough or square guttering because of its rectangular shape. It can be fitted neatly between parallel roof sections and around a building's perimeter. It has a robust design that offers increased rainwater capacity, making it suitable for areas with high rainfall intensity or large roof areas, such as commercial properties like apartments and warehouses. It's commonly used for buildings with angular features as a drainage solution.
Deep Flow: Deep or deep flow guttering is 20mm deeper than standard guttering, providing a greater capacity and faster flow rate. It's ideal for areas with high rainfall or water runoff, or for preparing for significant weather events that standard guttering can't handle efficiently. It's also used for buildings with large roof areas to avoid overflow. It looks similar to half round guttering but has greater depth to accommodate more rainwater.
Ogee: Ogee guttering is inspired by gothic revival architecture from the Victorian era, featuring an S-curve design that gives it a distinctive look. It's a popular choice for traditional buildings or adding heritage design to modern properties. It's important to note that not all ogee gutters are interchangeable due to variations in the S- curve design, so it's essential to check the brand logo, curve measurements, and type before making a purchase to ensure compatibility. Different manufacturers tend to have different shapes.
Industrial: Industrial guttering is designed to hold more water and is used on commercial buildings like barns, warehouses, and agricultural buildings. It comes in three common sizes: 160mm, which is similar to half round but not fully rounded; 170mm, which has an elliptical profile with a U shape; and 200mm, which is almost half round but not entirely. 200mm is the largest plastic guttering size available.

Proposed Front Elevation Guttering Styles & Profiles
